The Smokey Ghost BBQ rub has a slow burn from the Bhut jolokia (Ghost) chilli.
In 2007 the the ghost pepper was certified in the Guinness World Records as being the world’s hottest chilli pepper.
The ghost chilli is rated at 1 million Scoville heat units or SHUs. Despite this, the Smokey Ghost rub has a nice balance of heat and flavour. As with all of The Smokey Carters products, the focus is on the flavour rather than just the heat.
Ideal for brisket, ribs, pork and chicken.
Brown sugar, salt, smoked paprika, chilli blend (chilli flakes, jalapeno powder, ghost chilli (2%)), hickory powder (natural smoke flavouring, rusk (wheat)), onion, all spice, cumin, mustard, coriander, garlic, Mexican oregano, citric acid.
